Highlighting Three Human Creations: Hunter Biden, Wizards, & Terrain

Over the last 3-4 weeks, there are a few human creations / conversations that have shaped me, stretched me, and that I want to uplift.

But first, my #1 influence these days is not content from other humans, but sitting with Creator’s light each day in stillness. Here’s a simple guided audio if you’re interested in experiencing this practice.

1) Candace Owens’s interview with Hunter Biden

Because of choosing to live in places without wifi for the greater part of 2018-2024, and choosing not to tune into whatever media is megaphoning in “the news” / politics, I didn’t have a picture painted of Hunter Biden. Like, at all. I don’t think I’d ever heard him speak.

So his story was completely new to me, and I found this entire conversation deeply human and hopeful. I left it feeling uplifted, with such deep trust in God/Love, and the power in open hearts.

2) The book “How to Slay a Wizard” by Owen Benjamin

I was wary of the title (“slay” feels violent to me) and image, yet multiple recommendations had me interested. (Not-spoiler: the author clearly defines what he means by “wizard” on the first page, and is intentional with language throughout.) It’s a shorter book—yet the content felt so potent. I’ll likely reread it; there was lots to soak in.

There were parts that resonated deeply, and parts that challenged me. Parts that stretched my way of thinking, and parts where my heart opened. For me, this book is a helpful lens (one lens of many) to make sense of, and see the larger patterns of where we are in this human journey. Where to place attention, given the current webs. It’s encouraging, not doomsday.

3) A New Way to Heal: Terrain, GNM, & Chronic Illnesses with Liev Dalton & Jacob Diaz

really enjoyed this conversation with Alec Zeck, Liev Dalton, and Jacob Diaz. I have been gradually learning about the Terrain model of health over the years, and this particular conversation had such a good flow of real-life examples and deep heart.
